  History's Chosen

Have you ever wanted to meet someone who made an impact on our world?  Galileo, Daniel Boone or George Washington?  Perhaps you always wanted to talk to a Civil War general or a paleontologist searching for dinosaur bones.  History's Chosen uses a scripted performance, theatrical impovisation, and audience participation to bring a historical figure to life in your classroom.

George Washington

Why have all schoolchildren been fascinated by

George Washington?

George Washington gives your school the

opportunity to meet one of the event makers of

history.  The program not only teaches history,

but touches on geography, geometry and

even dance.  Kids will talk and interact with the

first president of the United States.

Children will get an idea of how government works by being a representative for one of the thirteen colonies. They will learn how to make a survey just as Washington did as a teenager. What were the important factors for Washington in the War for Independence?  George Washington will show you what they were.

The 45 minute program is available to schools
and civic groups in the Atlanta area.

The War College

"Soldiers! I have heard that there was danger here. I have come to place myself at your head and to share it with you.”

                          General George B. McClellan

The nine principles of war were part of the curriculum at the US Military Academy at West Point in the 1840’s when George McClellan attended.   Each battle, it could be argued, was affected one way or the other by a decision a general made interpreting at least one of those nine principles.

George B. McClellan, former commander-in-chief of the Army of the Potomac, gives your class a tour of some of the most important battles of the Civil War, using a variety of  visual aids including superballs, darts, mashed potatoes, a cross section of a tree and a beach ball.
